ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CHURCH – THE ORATOR 2026 LENTEN SCHEDULE ASH WEDNESDAY – February 18, 2026 Mass will be celebrated at: 6:30 A.M., 8:00 A.M. 10:00 A.M. and 7:30 P.M. Imposition of Ashes will take place following the homily at each Mass. NOVENA OF GRACE The Novena will be celebrated from the 4th to the 12th of March. Novena prayers will be said at all scheduled parish Masses throughout the Novena. The closing of the Novena will take place with the Novena Prayers recited at 8:00 a.m. Mass on Thursday, March 12th. WEEKDAY MASSES Throughout Lent Daily Mass will be celebrated at 6:30 A.M. and 8:00 A.M., Monday to Friday; on Saturday, 8:00 A.M. Mass only. SUNDAY MASS Our regular Sunday Mass schedule will remain the same – 5:30 P.M. Saturday Vigil Mass; Sunday morning Masses at 8:00 A.M. and 10:30 A.M. STATIONS OF THE CROSS This devotion will be observed following the conclusion of the 8:00 a.m. Mass (near 8:30 a.m.) on the Friday Mornings of Lent, February 20th, 27th and March 6th, 13th, 20th 27th. CONCERT MEDITATION – THE SEVEN LAST WORDS OF CHRIST On Sunday afternoon March 15th at 3:30 p.m. in Church, there will be a “Concert Meditation on the Seven Last Words of Christ”. FRIDAY HOLY HOUR On the Fridays of Lent there will be a Holy Hour with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from the end of the 6:30 A.M. Mass to the beginning of the 8:00 A.M. Mass, except for Good Friday. ORATORY PRAYER You are invited to join the Oratory Community for Prayer Monday through Friday from 5:10 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. in the church. CONFESSIONS Confessions will be heard from 4:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. on Saturday afternoons and before the 8:00 and 10:30 A.M. Masses on Sunday mornings. On Saturday, March 28th, Confessions will be heard for an extended period from 3:00 until 5:30 P.M. Confessions will also be heard before 8:00 A.M. and 10:30 A.M. Masses on Sunday morning, March 29th Palm Sunday. Please note that Confessions will not be heard except by appointment or in an emergency on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, or Easter Sunday.
THE TRIDUUM MAUNDY THURSDAY – April 2, 2026 The celebration of the Lord’s Supper will take place at 7:30 in the evening.
GOOD FRIDAY – April 3, 2026 The celebration of the Passion of Our Lord will take place at 2:00 in the afternoon.
HOLY SATURDAY – April 4, 2026 The Easter Vigil will be celebrated at 7:30 in the evening.
EASTER SUNDAY – April 5, 2026 The usual Sunday Mass schedule will be celebrated: 8:00 and 10:30 in the morning.
